- Masterworks in our genre by Mozart, Fauré, Schumann, Dvořák, and Messiaen.
- Audience favorites that haven’t been performed on our stage for more than a decade, such as Mendelssohn’s String Quintet in A major, Haydn’s Gypsy Trio, and Brahms’s String Sextet No. 1 in B-flat major.
- Important and impressive works by lesser-known composers: Coleridge-Taylor’s Clarinet Quintet, Chausson’s Piano Quartet, Korngold’s Suite for Two Violins, Cello, and Piano Left Hand, and Webern’s Langsamer Satz for String Quartet.
- First performances on our series, including Beethoven’s Grosse Fuge, Op. 133, Farrenc’s Piano Quintet in A minor (1839), Penderecki’s Duo Concertante for Violin and Double Bass; and Zemlinsky’s Clarinet Trio (1896).
- Our 2025 commission, a string octet, by composer and BCMS member musician Alyssa Wang.
