We are thrilled to welcome violinist Alyssa Wang to our roster of member musicians! Alyssa first performed with BCMS in 2019 as an Entrepreneurial Musician Fellow, and has since joined us on numerous occasions as a guest artist.
After accepting the invitation, Ms. Wang said, “Becoming a member musician for the Boston Chamber Music Society is a dream come true! I have always valued Boston’s community of musicians and art lovers dedicated to chamber music, and it means so much to me to be able to share my passion for chamber music alongside some of the most talented and passionate artists in the field. The Boston Chamber Music Society has a rich history of excellence and innovation, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful organization. I am absolutely thrilled for the collaboration and artistic endeavors that lie ahead!”
During the 2023-24 season Ms. Wang will appear in her new role on our series on October 1, October 15, January 21, and April 7. Among the programs, she will be the featured violinist in two works made possible by our Commissioning Club that will be recorded live and scheduled for release in Summer 2024: Daniel Godfrey’s 2018 Ad Concordium for Oboe, Violin, Viola, Cello and Piano (10/15/2023); and George Tsontakis’s 2014 Portraits by El Greco (Book I) for Clarinet, Violin, Viola, Cello and Piano (1/21/2024).
